START TO COLLECT by fotofever

fotofever is the first art fair dedicated to the emerging contemporary photography in Paris, invited by Le Salon de la Photo 2017 to introduce the photography lovers to the collection.

In only 5 years, Fotofever, which takes place in the Carrousel du Louvre at the same moment as Le salon de la Photo, became the reference of the initiation to the collection of photography. The START TO COLLECT program facilitates the discovery of new talents, the meeting with the works and the access to the market.

So, within the framework of the cultural program of Le Salon de la Photo 2017, Fotofever Paris presents a new exhibition with a selection of works under 1000€, ideal for a first acquisition. The price of every work is shown with full transparency and a Fotofever mediator is present to welcome the visitors and answer their questions on the works, the artists and the collection generally.

The presented works are the ones of 9 international emerging artists using the photography in their process of creation, among which some are simultaneously presented at the Carrousel du Louvre within the framework of the 6th edition of the Fotofever Paris fair (indicated with a *).

fotofever also organizes a "Grande Rencontre", led by Cécile Schall and with the cooperation of professionals of art market, to raise the subject of the quotation of an artist: the actors and the elements which grants them at the same time economic and artistic value.

The 6th edition of the Fotofever Paris fair will be held in the Carrousel du Louvre at the same time as the Lounge of the Photo 2017: from Friday until 10 Sunday November 12th.
