Getting together, keeping oneself informed, equipping oneself
After the Salon de la Photo in Paris last November, the two winners of the ZOOMS 2013 award, Romain LAURENDEAU and Jérôme BLIN, were honoured with an exhibition of their work at CP+ Yokohama, the major Japanese photo fair, where they received a very official welcome. CP+ also wishes to create a Zooms Award with the Japanese photo press, on the same model as the prize created in France by the Salon de la Photo. These exchanges strengthen the friendly cooperation that has formed between the Paris and Yokohama fairs, respectively organised under the aegis of Sipec and Cipa.
Romain Laurendeau has brought back a photographic travel diary of Tokyo, which that week in February was covered in snow.
We invite you to discover this original portrait of the Japanese capital.
AN UNUSUAL RESULT for this year’s ZOOM awards:
Two candidates have tied for the press award, and one of them has also won the public award.
As he announced the names of the two winners Peter Knapp, chairman of the jury for the 2013 ZOOMS, concluded that «Photojournalism really does exist!»
